30th Annual Metal Boat Festival- August 11-13 2017
Come and join us in beautiful Anacortes, Washington for 3 days of fun and learning about designing, building, maintaining, cruising, and ownership of metal boats. Catch up with old friends and meet new boating people with similar interests!
On August 11 -13, 2017 the 30th Annual Metal Boat Festival, sponsored by the Metal Boat Society will be held in Anacortes, Washington. The Festival is open to members and interested members of the public.
Festival will have a number of seminar speakers who are involved in designing, building, outfitting, and cruising on metal boats. The current agenda includes:
These information-packed seminars will be held at Seafarer's Memorial Building in the Port of Anacortes. Friday & Saturday the seminars and discussions begin around 8:30am and run through about 5:00pm. A free continental breakfast for participants will be available before the seminars begin. We will take a break at lunch time so everyone can enjoy the beautiful downtown of Anacortes with many restaurants. On Sunday, we will hold a panel discussion and Q&A on metal boats and metal boat issues. We will adjourn around noon on Sunday.

There will be plenty of time to get to know and interact with other metal boaters. On Friday evening, join us for metal boat tours at the Cap Sante Marina, a barbeque on the docks, and sunset sails around the bay. Saturday night join us for a catered salmon barbeque and an entertaining slide show on cruising the South Pacific.
Free Moorage is provided at the Cap Sante Marina for metal boats owned by festival participants for the nights of August 10, 11, and 12. After registering for the Festival, contact our Dockmaster, Lance Ekhart at 360-305-5345 to reserve your moorage. As moorage space is limited, you will have to register for the Festival prior to arriving in Anacortes. Giving Lance at least a couple of weeks warning will make his job a lot easier.
